SEMI - NUDE LIFE DRAWING CLASSSES
For all levels of experience, this fun and relaxed class will focus on sketching the figure. Never completely naked – models will be semi-clothed. For example... a bikini clad lady in one session and a barefoot man in jeans in the next, through to scarf, gloves and beanie in another, etc.
Extending drawing skills this class offers the opportunity to develop ‘sketching’, while capturing the form and shape of the figure along with the contrasting drape and fit of fabric as worn. Looking and seeing the subject matter will be encouraged. Combined with various drawing techniques your drawing repertoire will grow. Composition, tone and colour will be simplified to encourage your unique sketching style to shine. Sketch time will vary in length, over the period of a class, to develop the ability to capture quick renders and the recording of ideas through to a longer more ‘developed’ work towards the end of each session. Students will leave with a multiple of sketches from the one class.
Be prepared to try sketching in a way you have not encountered previously. An artform itself, sketching is also a great tool to use when you start painting. It can solve the dilemma of how and where to start a work, while providing a premeditated guide to finishing the work. Referencing artists such as Rita Angus who sketched rigorously prior to painting a work.

1-day version 10am – 2.30pm $160 (model fee included)
