Slow Fashion, 2-Day Creations
There are 3 versions of this 2-day workshop. At the end of each fun and dynamic workshop students will leave with a finished style of their choice.
All versions use slow fashion techniques and encourage recycling, upcycling and use of existing fabric stashes, garments, duvet covers, old jeans, sourced fabrics, dressing gowns and vintage table cloths, etc to create something new and 'exclusively one-off' for your self or another. This is a planet friendly class.
Version 1:
Dress (Choose from 2 basic styles)
Version 2:
Tee-Shirt or Sweat Top (With or without a hood / pockets)
Version 3:
Lounge Pants / Wide Leg Trousers / Trackies (With or without Pockets)
(Students will only have time to create one version, chosen from the above options, per workshop)
Suitable for the absolute first time sewer through to the more experienced; students will create their own unique slow fashion item of clothing (various styling options offered).
Guided step by step, students will cut, sew, and finish their garment with 'easy cheat' production techniques. Garments will be fitted and styled to the individual to suit their chosen styling and fabrics. Easy to use pre-cut production patterns will be supplied, ready to be used, for ease of creation. Students will learn unexpected yet easy sewing and fit techniques.
This workshop encourages you to make from fabric(s) you love! Using either existing fabrics or found, to create a new 'one-off' clothing item.
Enjoy this relaxed class with like minded creatives and leave this workshop wearing your new 'exclusive and one-off, unique to you’, style! Learning simple and easy make techniques as you go.
